Eric Almond (he/him), LMSW, is a licensed therapist practicing in New York City. He holds a Masters degree from NYU Silver School of Social Work. Eric focuses on understanding trauma and resilience among queer individuals, particularly within marginalized communities, offering non-judgmental support while providing a brave space where vulnerability is encouraged.

Living in this country a Black queer cis male, Eric brings a rich blend of personal and professional experiences to his practice. Eric adopts an intersectional approach, honoring diverse identities while utilizing an array of therapeutic techniques, such as strengths-based, solution-focused, trauma-informed, harm reduction, sobriety support, self-harm management, and spiritual exploration.

He acutely recognizes the challenges young people encounter in finding their authentic selves amidst societal expectations and pressures in an ever evolving society.

Eric firmly believes in individuals' capacity to shape their own destinies and is dedicated to guiding them toward realizing their fullest potential by providing a safe and empowering space for growth and self-discovery. With a focus on introspection and resilience, he will explore your strengths, empowering you to overcome obstacles with confidence and authenticity.
